Wheel Picker FAQ

Answers to common questions about this tool and its generated results.

How does the wheel picker choose a winner?

Every spin uses cryptographically-seeded Math.random in your browser to pick a target segment, then animates 5–7 full rotations with an ease-out curve so the pointer lands on that winner. Nothing is sent to a server — results are 100% client-side and private.

Can I remove the winner after each spin?

Yes. Keep 'Remove winner after spin' checked and the winning entry is deleted from the list automatically when you continue or spin again. Use 'Keep & close' in the winner popup to keep the entry for repeated draws.

How many names can I add?

Up to 200 entries (one per line). For best readability keep it under 30 — beyond that segment labels shrink and the wheel works best with Shuffle to randomize order first.

Is my list saved or uploaded anywhere?

No. Your entries live only in the page's textarea for this session. Closing or refreshing the tab resets to the sample list. No accounts, no tracking, no uploads.

Can I use this for classrooms, giveaways, or D&D loot?

Absolutely — paste student names, contest handles, or loot items (one per line), hit SPIN, and share your screen. The tick sound, confetti, and winner modal make it ideal for live draws.
